Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly brighter in the original, with the red in the writing and the sun tending more to London Bus red, the turquoise in the waves tending more to sky blue and the white rays are more prominent and richer in texture. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is a hairline crack (approximately 4cm. in length) to the lower right quadrant, 15cm. to the right of the red sun, with associated minute specks of media loss. There is a small web of craquelure to the bottom right quadrant, approximately 10cm. left of the right extreme edge, which has resulted in isolated specks of media loss. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
