Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is slightly darker in the original with less yellow hues. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is minor wear with associated specks of paint losses to all four corners of the box, most notably to the front lower right corner. There is a small media loss 5 cm. along from the upper right corner (visible in the catalogue illustration). Upon close inspection, there are some small media losses to some of the silver coloured tentacles. There is a tiny crack directly beneath the lower section of the top edge, approximately 8 cm. in from the left edge. There is a network of fine stable cracks to the back upper right corner and several small brown spots of discolouration to the central section of the top rear edge. All other surfaces imperfections would appear to be original to the work and inherent to the artist's working process. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
