This painting has an old glue lining which has smoothed any texture that may have originally been apparent. The paint layer is stable and the condition of the painting seems to generally be very good. The clouds in the lower left may have been strengthened slightly. There are a few spots of retouch in the hair and while patches of old varnish may conceal some of the other restorations, it is unlikely and in general the condition is very good.
