This painting on canvas is lined. The paint layer is stable and has been cleaned, retouched and varnished. The retouches are clearly visible under ultraviolet light, mainly as light glazes in the sky and probably addressing some unevenness to the paint layer. Whether this unevenness is remnants of old dirt which could be remedied with cleaning, or whether this retouching is actually necessary is unclear. However, the picture looks well and could be hung as is.
