• cal. 3185 automatic nickel lever movement, 31 jewels, mono-metallic compensation balance, adjusted to five positions and temperature • black dial, applied luminescent dagger, dot and baton indexes, luminescent Mercedes-style hands, sweep center seconds, magnified date aperture • tonneau case, sapphire crystal, black rotating bezel calibrated for 24 hours with corresponding red hand, screw-down crown and case back • case, dial and movement signed • with a stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet and deployant clasp 

Condition

The movement is running, however we recommend service soon. It is numbered 3 8237876. The dial is nice with no visible signs of wear or marks. The case shows general wear with some light surface scuffs to the back, but overall in nice condition. The numbers between the lugs are 16710 and A150243 and the number inside the back is 16710. The bracelet is in nice condition with general wear and is numbered 501B to the ends and 78790 to the end links and buckle.

This model, Ref. 16710, was released in 1989 as the second version of the GMT-Master II and a replacement for the earlier Ref. 16760. Both of these newer models had a quick-set hour hand🅷, maximizing the utility of the dual time zone function. It was in production until 2007, when it was replaced by the ceramic bezel GMT-Master II, Ref. 116710.
