Catalogue Note

In the mid-197🍷0s, Rolex developed their own quartz movement caliber and introduced it in a cutting edge angular case, Ref. 17000. This model, the Oysterquartz Datejust, was rather unpopular at the time of its release, however collectors were instantly꧅ captivated by the newly styled shape of the case with a more geometric look.

The present model, 🥂Ref. 1530, was released around this time in the same iconic Oysterquartz case, but with an automatic movement, cal. 1570. Today these models are collectible bec♏ause of their limited production run and the fact that their design is still a departure from the standard Rolex look.
