Catalogue Note

Accompanied by a numbered Omega guarantee and fitted presentation box.

Omega confirms production of this watch in 1969 a𒅌nd delivery to the retailer on September 9th, 1970. This model, Ref. ST 145.0022, was launched in 1968 with the advent of cal. 861 movement. It was in production until the early 1990s.

The present example is particularly interesting for its aged 'chocolate' dial. Although all dials for Speedꦦmasters were produced in black, extensive sun exposure faded the finish to a rich brown color over the years. Interestingly, one sees this specifically in watches from 1969 and the following year, likely due to a specific technique or finish used by the dial supplier at that time.
