The movement is running, however we recommend service soon. The dial is very pretty and overall in nice condition, however it looks like it might have been cleaned and partially restored in some places. The case shows light wear and appears to have been lightly polished, however it is in nice condition. The number on the outside of the back is partially worn off, but what is visible reads 096 and Ref. 1527.

The Rolex Prince is one of the most 💯iconic of all early Rolex models. Working with the movement maker Aegler, Rolex launched the first model of this rectangular watch in 1928. In 1935, the firm launched this variation to the more classic rectangular model, the Railway, Ref. 1527.

Originally one of the first Prince models to be produced in steel, the Railway proved to be rather unpopular and production was not as♑ strong as it was with other models. Considering this fact, it was produced in fewer examples, therefore today it is seen as more ra𒆙re, thus more collectible.
