Condition

The panel is sound. There are two 3cm. lines of retouching running out horizontally from the centre of the right edge, with some small associated spots of retouching; four small spots of retouching above the centre of the lower edge; a small 0.5cm. line to the bottom of the left-hand cliff; two small spots near the upper centre of the left edge; a small spot to the upper centre of the work; a small line to the upper centre and a spot to the centre right of the upper edge, all visible under UV light. Apart from a 10cm. crack to the paint surface running horizontally from the upper left edge and some light craquelure, mainly to the sky, this work is in good condition. Colours: The colours are richer and darker in the original.
