Condition
The canvas is not lined. There are lines with some associated specks of retouching running along the top edge, halfway down the right and left edges, and intermittently along the lower left edge to cover frame rubbing. There is a 4cm. Y-shaped retouching towards the centre of the upper left quadrant, two very thin lines of retouching to the centre of the lower right quadrant, some small specks of retouching towards the upper left corner and a 3cm. line of retouching towards the centre right edge. All retouching is visible under UV light. Apart from some minor undulations to the canvas to the left edge and some light craquelure, mainly to the corners, this work is in good condition.
Colours: Overall fairly accurate, although the yellows are stronger and there is more variation in tone in the original.
