INTRODUCTION COLLECTION CHANTAL & GUY HEYTENS
The Belgian collectors Chantal and Guy Heytens, who have retired to the South of France, chose to focus exclusively on Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary art. The couple were both born in 1938 and met each other at the age of 17. In 1975, they established their own company and registered the Heytens brand which advocated harmonious interior design, in which fabric, curtains and wallpaper all complimented each other. In the course of their travels, they took inspiration primarily from museums, galleries and auction houses. Their collection reflects their fine taste and insight. Without outside influence they acquired iconic works by the greatest painters of the twentieth century. Sotheby's is proud to pay homage to their collection by presenting ജa selection of their work in this sale of Impressionist and Modern Art.
