Condition
Executed on board laid down on cradled panel. Work is in very good condition. Surface is dirty with a yellowed varnish that is unevenly applied in places. Fissures in the board appear along the extreme right edge and towards the center of the bottom edge. A few small surface scrapes to the right of the woman's nose. The board upon which the work is executed appears to be inherently acidic, and is noticeably time darkened in the places where the artist has intentionally left the surface bare. Under UV light: no inpainting is apparent although the areas of exposed board fluoresce somewhat.
