Condition

Good condition; not laid down but affixed to sheet at 4 corners; sheet is somewhat time darkened/faded; few spots of foxing/discoloration in upper right quadrant; two repairs (approx 1 1/2 inch) and few small creases along left edge; two small scuffs along right edge.

This watercolor, as well as the following work by Dix(lot 337), are titled and numbered in the Otto Dix sketchbook "Otto/Martha."  The subject is one that Dix employed in his 1925 oil Witwe, as well as in a number of watercolors and again in 1957, 🔯in two color lithographs.&🔯nbsp;
