Condition
This work is in good condition. The canvas has been relined. Under UV light: numerous scattered areas of retouching throughout the background, including the majority of the upper left corner and a somewhat large area in the sky directly above the figure's head. There is scattered inpainting in the rocky area to the right of the figure and a 1 inch long strip of inpainting on the underside of the figures left arm and another extending from the left side of her waist. Scattered spots of inpainting in the purple rocks at lower left to remedy flaking which in a few cases persists and is also occuring to a very small extent in the figure's bonnet.
