Condition
Work is in very good condition. Greenish brown patina. Minor surface stains, particularly just above the star design feature. Some plaster residue on the base, but otherwise fine.

Mme Antoinette de Watteville Matossian first met Diego Giacometti when she was married to the artist Balthus. During the 1930s, Balthus became very good friends with both Alberto and Diego Giacometti, often consulting them on artistic matters.
