This painting has been recently restored and should be hung as is. The canvas has been lined. The eccentric manor in which the grey sections have been painted, in the left and in the upper left corner, is all intentional, as is the mottled technique in the blues and to a lesser degree, the reds. Under ultraviolet light some retouches are visible attending to the cracking in the white yet there are no other visible restorations of note. Slight thinness has developed in the black lines separating the shapes, but for this kind of composition, the condition is respectable.
