There are several light brown 1/8 in. spots scattered throughout the painting, most noticeably in the background. There are minor losses to the upper left and right corners and a ½ in. loss along the center of the right edge. There is craquelure throughout the work. Under ultraviolet light, there is also scattered inpainting throughout the work, most noticeable in the lower right quadrant. There are also several 1 in. areas of inpainting in the background and in the lower left corner.
