oil on wood panel with cardboard elements
Provenance
Gift from the artist to the present owner
Condition
Overall the relief is in very good condition considering its age and the fragility of the material. The edges on the painted cardboard elements show signs of wear and have lost some of their original crispness. Several of the corners are slightly crushed or bent and minor paint loss is evident on several of the elements. The blue painted cardboard elements have oxidized the most over time, which has resulted in an uneven and chalky appearance. Water spots were noted on the back of several of the blue painted cardboard elements. The white wooden frame that encases the panels is soiled yet structurally sound.
