Description
The graduated single-strand composed of 91 natural pearls measuring approximately 5.6 to 3.3 mm., completed by an oval clasp set with an oval cabochon ruby framed by old European-cut diamonds, mounted in gold, length 17½ inches.
Condition
In fairly good condition with light wear to the mounting; restringing is recommended. Please see GIA report no. 16826660 stating that the pearls are natural. The cream-colored pearls range from round to off-round with the majority being slightly out-of-round. The pearls present faint pink and green overtones, a medium, satin-like luster and minor to moderate blemishing. The clasp is set with a medium-deep slightly purplish red ruby cabochon; moderately included (good clarity for a cabochon stone). The diamonds are approximately I-J color and VS-SI clarity. Fitted with safety closure.
