The insect with openwork wings decorated in a floral design, set with 38 round blue topazes weighing 11.07 carats, 54 marquise-shaped and round blue sapphires weighing 7.91 carats, and 6 round white sapphires weighing 1.43 carats, the antennae set with small round diamonds, mounted in 18 karat gold, maker's mark, numbered 10712.
Condition
There are two distinct colors of blue topaz, a light blue-green and a deep greenish blue, all eye clean. The sapphires are a medium to deep blue color and are slightly included. The white sapphires are bright and eye clean. Diamonds are approximately I-J color and SI clarity. In good condition. Singed MdV 10712. 2 1/4 x 1 1/2 inches.
