Description
The gold rectangular case with shuttered front decorated with a black enamel abstract motif and a white enamel chapter ring with gilt Arabic numerals framing a portion of the partly-revealed watch dial, opening to reveal the full dial framed by royal blue enamel Roman numerals, the base with swivel panel to stabilize, 1½ by 7/8 inches, dial signed Cartier, Breveté, France, base signed European Watch and Clock Co., assay marks and maker's marks.
Condition
Good condition with light overall wear to the gold. The enamel remains in good condition. The dial with light wear and soiling to the finish. The swivel base segment is signed European Watch and Clock Co., made in France and is stamped with assay mark and maker's mark, and is numbered 9261. The outer portions of the base are stamped with maker's and assay mark and is numbered 1307. Push down on stem before closing shutter doors. Currently running.
