Description
The emerald-cut diamond of light pinkish brown color weighing 3.39 carats, within a simple platinum mounting, approximately size 5.
Condition
See GIA report stating the diamond is Light Pinkish Brown, natural color, distribution not applicable. The mounting shows evidence of regular wear and is currently fitted with a wrap-around sizer, which is easily removed. In good condition overall. Please note that the comment "natural not applicable" was mistakenly added to the catalogue description.

Accompanied by GIA report no. 16878133 stating the diamond is Light Pinkish Brown, natural color.
Mario Garcia Menocal, the third president of Cuba from 1913 to 1921, purchased the present ring for his wife, Mariana Seva Menocal, on one of his travels to Europe. The ring was passed on to their daughter, Georgina Menocal, and then by direct descent to the present owner.
