Description
The first necklace composed of 55 cultured pearls measuring approximately 15.2 by 12.7 mm., completed by a ball clasp pavé-set with round diamonds weighing approximately 3.50 carats, mounted in 18 karat white gold, length 32½ inches; the second composed of 53 cultured pearls of natural gray color measuring approximately 14.4 by 12.7 mm., completed by a ball clasp pavé-set with round diamonds weighing approximately 3.45 carats, mounted in 18 karat white gold, length 30 inches.
Condition
The white pearls are a silver white shade with some overtones of pink and green, good to very good luster and minor to moderate blemishing. The gray pearls are a deep gray color (a shade light or "less black" than indicated by the catalogue illustration) with obvious overtones of green and aubergine, with good luster and minor blemishing. Both strands are fitted with similar diamond-set ball clasps, which vary slightly in diameter and therefore cannot be joined. The diamonds are approximately H-I color and VS clarity. Both pieces in very good condition.
