Description
The carved nephrite blade decorated on the handle with a floral motif, the gold leaves terminating in small turquoise cabochons, the flowerhead decorated with translucent red guilloch¨¦ enamel, rose-cut diamonds and split pearls, mounted in gold, length 7½ inches, signed kf for Karl Faberg¨¦. With a signed and fitted box.
Condition
Good condition. The gold tendrils with wear and light discoloration. Stamped 56 for gold, the city symbol for Moscow (figure of Saint George on horseback) and maker's mark K§¶. The translucent red enamel is intact. The diamonds are near colorless and decorative in quality. The nephrite blade is translucent and presents typical color mottling. Accompanying box is the original holly wood Faberg¨¦ box and is signed K. Faberg¨¦, Moscow.
