The modified shield-shaped plaque set in the center with a cushion-shaped pink tourmaline cabochon quartered by a pear-shaped sapphire, 2 oval cabochon rubies and a pear-shaped emerald, the base decorated with buff-top amethysts, completed by pavé-set round diamonds weighing approximately 6.00 carats, mounted in 18 karat gold, signed Bulgari, 1 small diamond missing. 

Very good condition. The weight of the stones are engraved on the reverse of the brooch: tourmaline, 30.03 cts; sapphire, 17.95; rubies 2.10 and 2.14 cts; emerald, 1.23 carats. The sapphire is medium violetish blue with visible color zoning. The pink tourmaline is lively medium purplish pink and typically included. The rubies are medium deep purplish red and moderately included (but good quality for cabochons). The emerald is a richly saturated bluish green and lightly included. The diamonds are approximately G-H color, VS-SI clarity, one diamond missing near top, not visible from the front view.
