The cushion-shaped sapphire weighing approximately 15.25 carats, inset within a mounting studded with numerous round moonstone cabochons and small round diamonds, in 18 karat white gold, size 6¼, signed MdV. 

Stamped to inner shank with MD for Michele della Valle and 750 for 18 karat gold. The sapphire of medium light, slightly violetish-blue hue, slightly grayish saturation of colour. Visible colour zoning and typical inclusion across centre of stone both visible to naked eye. The moonstones displaying both pale blue and green colours with low to moderate adularescence. Diamonds bright and lively. In good condition.
