Description
The open latticework dome of gold rope set throughout with round and cushion-shaped rubies, cushion-shaped sapphires and emerald-cut emeralds, size 4½, signed Cartier, Paris, French assay mark and maker's mark.
Condition
The center reverse-set ruby is a deep brown-red and is significantly chipped on the underside. The remainder of the rubies are of similar color and are moderately included, with many surface-reaching inclusions, abrasions and small chips. Sapphires are deep blue in color and are of good clarity. Emeralds are a medium deep green and are moderately included, with a few surface-reaching inclusions. Signed Cartier Paris and numbered 08721 on inside rim of shank, near the gallery. Fitted with an inner sizing band. Some discoloration to the texturing of the gold, but in good condition overall.
