Description

  • David Webb
The long necklace composed of open links of hammered gold in alternating lozenge and rectangular shapes, the former set with oval turquoise cabochons, the center decorated with a large oval turquoise cabochon supporting a second oval turquoise pendant, both accented with small round diamonds, length 27½ inches, one segment detaches to shorten, signed Webb; the pendant-earclips of polished gold cushion, oval and round links, set with round and oval turquoise cabochons and bands of small round diamonds weighing approximately 2.45 carats, signed Webb.

Condition

Good condition. Please note that while the gold mounting to the necklace bears a hand-hammered finish, the mountings to the earrings bear a polished finish. The turquoise cabochons are a typical robin's egg blue. One of the oval cabochons on the earclips is slightly discolored. The 4 smaller turquoise cabochons at the sides are slightly darker and more green. The round diamonds in the necklace weigh approx. 1.00 carat. The diamonds in both pieces are set into platinum and are approximately G-I color, VS clarity. The necklace signed Webb on three links. The removable section to the necklace measures 11 inches. Total gross weight of necklace and earclips is approximately 224 dwts.
