- Seaman Schepps
The large oval-shaped opal measuring approximately 30.0 by 20.0 mm., held within a mounting designed as a pair of butterflies, the heads and bodies set with small oval and pear-shaped opals, completed by 88 round and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 2.65 carats, mounted in platinum, size 7¼, signed Seaman Schepps.
Condition
The opal has a vibrant play of color, mainly green and blue, but with bright, prominent flashes of orange-red. Only slight crazing on the large opal, in good condition. One small round opal on the side of the shoulders is chipped. Diamonds are approximately I-J color and SI-I clarity. Signed Seaman Schepps.
