Description

  • Seaman Schepps
The pendants formed of 2 large irregularly shaped opals held within diamond-set foliate claws, supported on double chains surmounted by 2 shield-shaped opals, the whole set with 76 round, single-cut and marquise-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 3.25 carats, the reverse of the opal pendants studded with small round diamonds, rubies and demantoid garnets, mounted in platinum, signed Seaman Schepps

Condition

The opals exhibit a vibrant play of colors; green, blue, orange and red. Some crazing when examined closely. Diamonds are approximately H-J color and VS-SI clarity. Fitted with ear loop carriers that fit over the ear to support and secure the earpendant in case of slipping off the ear (loops not pictured in catalogue). The reverse of the earclips consists of an intricate vine design, and is set with tiny rubies, diamonds and green garnets. Signed Seaman Schepps on a plaque at the reverse of one of the earclips. The earclips fit into the signed box that accompanies the necklace and bracelet in lot 327 and 328.
