Description
The brooch of open work geometric design decorated with stylised meander motifs, set with baguette and circular-cut diamonds, accompanied by a ring set at the centre with a pair of step-cut diamonds, between stepped shoulders set with baguettes, size 54.
Condition
Metal tested as platinum. Please note that the correct brooch sold together with the ring, as lot 205, is the brooch sold as lot 206 in the printed catalogue. The two mixed step-cut diamonds in the ring of I-J colour and VS clarity as graded in the mount. The baguette diamonds to the side of matching quality. Total diamond weight for the ring approximately 2.50-3.00 carats. The principal diamond in the brooch gauged to weigh circa 2.00 carats, I colour and SI2 clarity, also as mounting permits. Remaining diamonds estimated to weigh circa 8.00-9.00 carats in total, some of them chipped. Overall normal signs of wear, consistent with the age of the pieces, in good condition.
