Description
The bracelet composed of six strands of sapphire beads, the clasp of stylised tied bow design set with similar stones studded with sapphire beads and applied with blue enamel, mounted in yellow gold, length approximately 205mm, signed Verdura; the necklace designed as a torsade of two rows of semi-baroque pearls and five rows of sapphire beads, the clasp of foliate inspiration set with brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in white gold, length approximately 425mm, signed Birks.
Condition
Bracelet stamped Verdura and 18K. Sapphires overall well matched in colour, surface reaching inclusions, some abrasion and minor chips. Some chips to enamel near clasp. Some scratches to metal and marks of solder at the back. Necklace stamped Birks and 18K. Please refer to report for details on the pearls, creamy white colour, various rounded and barrel semi-baroque shapes, medium lustre, overgrowth marks and blemishes. Sapphire overall well matched, surface reaching inclusions, abrasion and minor chips. Clasp secure, with some scratches to metal. Both showing signs of normal wear and would benefit from restringing. In good condition.
