- signed Cartier Made in France and numbered, French assay and maker's marks.
- measurments approximately 80 x 55 x 11mm,
The case of rectangular form applied with green enamel simulating nephrite, the sides accented with a border of foliate motifs, set to the centre with a portrait miniature of an Eastern potentate, framed by rose-cut diamonds, additional rose-cut diamonds at the corners and thumb piece, opening to reveal a cigarette compartment,
Condition
Please note that the case is mounted in silver gilt and yellow gold. The green enamel cigarette case signed Cartier made in France and numbered S395. Some light tarnish to gold throughout. Miniature in good condition. (For oriental influences in Cartier jewellery see footnote for Lot 393). Overall box with signs of wear to the enamel and gold, scratches and indentations consistent with age and use. In good condition.
