Catalogue Note

In 1954 Van Cleef & Arpels revolutionized the jewellery world by creating a 'Boutique' department. Founded by Jacques and Claude Arpels, the aim of the boutique was to attract a young clientele with wearable jewellery and affordable prices. Created in limited edition and committed to the same standards of craftmanship as any other Van Cleef & Arpels pieces, the success of the jewellery was immediate. The 'Twist'ear clips and bracelet and 'Philippines' rings were originally cre🐈ated respectively in 1968 and 1963 for the Boutique.
