Description

Designed as a humming bird in flight, its head and body pavé-set with circular-cut sapphires, rubies and brilliant-cut diamonds, the feathers set with marquise-shaped turquoise, sapphires and brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in yellow gold and platinum,

Condition

Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold and Pt 950 for platinum, numbered 99454. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 1.20 -1.50 carats, estimated colour H-I, estimated clarity VS-SI. Turquoise well matched in size, varying in colour from greenish blue to blue-green hue, some with typical dark veining present and cavities, top left hand stone cracked. Some of the stones may have discoloured with wear and the use of scent. Sapphires well matched in size and colour, a dark blue hue with strong saturation of colour, typical inclusions visible with a 10x lens, some with small nicks and abrasions only visible with magnification, a few with surface reaching inclusions. The rubies well matched a medium slightly purplish red hue with strong saturation of colour, typical inclusions visible with magnification, a few with minor chips surface reaching fractures and abraded facet junctions. In good condition.
