- brooch and ring numbered, brooch and pair of clips with maker's marks, one diamond and one ruby deficient.
Comprising: a brooch of stylised foliate design, set with calibré-cut rubies and emeralds in concealed settings, brilliant-cut and marquise-shaped diamonds and a cultured pearl; a pair of ear clips; and a ring of matching design, size 51, all mounted in platinum and signed Kern,
Condition
Stamped Pt 950 for platinum, brooch numbered 784 and ring 740.3. Emeralds yellowish green hue with medium colour saturation. Rubies pinkish red hue with good colour saturation colour, one stone deficient. Both emeralds and rubies well matched with typical crystal inclusions, some surface reaching, a few stones chipped and abraded. Traces of glue around a few emeralds. Total diamond weight approximately 4.20 carats, overall G-I colour, VS-SI clarity, one stone deficient. Cultured pearl good lustre, overall smooth skin with minor blemishes. Signs of normal wear to the mount, scratches consistent with use, in good condition.
