The painting is in good condition. The canvas is in good condition with a clear and taut surface. Paint layers are intact. There is no evidence of any cracking or paint loss. Under close examination by ultraviolet light, there is some very tiny retouching found on the neck of the man on the left. There is also some slight retouching along the edges of the painting, probably abrasion due to bad framing. All retouching is only visible under ultraviolet light. (The painting was examined within its frame)
