The painting is in overall good condition. The canvas is also in good condition with a clear and taut surface. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals some general retouching. They are detected primarily around the edges. A few spots of retouching on the lower left quadrant (the beach area above the figures seated on a boat in the foreground as well as a few flecks on the small figures). Retouchings were detected in the sky area (upper left - near horizon) as well as on the lower right quadrant (a spot near the cart, as well as the surrounding ground, a few spots on the beach area in the lower middle near the edge and on the lower right near the signature). There are a few spots of retouching in the centre (the beach on the shore, and a few flecks among the cluster of boats on the shore). Restorations are visible after UV light inspection. There is a slight horizontal line/mark on the upper edge (as if from frame). The paint layers are intact and in stable condition.
