Condition
The painting is in good condition.
The silk is in good condition with neither runs, creases nor holes.
The paint layers are intact and in stable condition. Examination under UV light indicates slight retouching to the figure's nose, mouth, cheek (viewer's left), pillow (left edge), fan (along edge, viewer's right), tip of raised foot and inner thigh (viewer's left), and on the dark area below the curtain (middle right). A small spot of retouching is also detected on the triangular area where the curtain overlaps the hip of the figure. Restoration is apparent only under ultraviolet light.
