"The following condition report has been provided by Henry Gentle, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's. The canvas is lined and the paint surface is stable with slightly raised paint along the stretcher marks. The varnish is discoloured and degraded and beneath it can be seen the paint layer which is in a good original condition; many of the delicate fragile touches are intact as are the scumbles and glazes. Offered in a modern gold painted frame with some chips."
