Provenance

Anonymous sale, London, Bonhams, 7 July 2004, lot 125, for £19,000, as 'Attributed to Angelo Caroselli'.

Condition

The support consists of two stable vertical panels secured by three horizontal battens. Old inactive worm holes can be seen on the reverse of the panel. The paint surface is secure and under a thick varnish. Some scattered rethouchings have discoloured and are visible to the naked eye. Inspection under UV light reveals some further retouchings. Unframed.
