This subject is taken from Luke (2:41ꦿ-51), who recounts the♏ event when, adhering to Jewish customs, Jesus accompanies Mary and Joseph to Jerusalem to celebrate the festival of the Passover. Upon their return journey, the parents are horrified to discover that they have lost sight of their twelve year old son, but eventually discover Jesus in Solomon's temple, engaged in debate with a group of elderly priests and scholars who surround him.
