The oval canvas has been relined with a rectangular canvas. The paint surface is somewhat abraded and under a thick dirty varnish. The fine craquelure has led to small scattered areas of paint loss. There are scattered restorations and retouchings. Inspection under UV light is impeded by the varnish. Offered in a later plain wooden frame which has suffered some losses.
