The canvas has been relined. The paint surface is secured by a thick discoloured varnish. Some scattered old retouchings are visible to the naked eye. Inspection under UV light reveals some further scattered retouchings. There is a restored tear in the sky centre left. Offered in a wood and plaster painted gold frame in fair condition but with some minor knocks.
