Description
- Aelbert Cuyp
- A northern landscape at sunset with herders and their cattle in the foreground

- oil on panel
Condition
The support appears to consist of three horizontal panels but the cradling on the reverse prevents confirmation. The paint surface is generally secure although under a very dirty varnish. There are scattered retouchings and small areas of restoration. Thorough inspection under UV light is prevented by the varnish. Offered in a wood and plaster gilt frame with some losses but structurally sound.
