Thence, presumably, by descent🎃 to Miss Lockwood by 1936 (according to an old label on the reverse).
Condition
The canvas has been relined. The paint surface is very dirty. There are scattered, and in some cases discoloured, retouchings. There are localised small areas of restoration, particularly along the lower edge. These are confirmed under UV light. Offered in a wood and plaster gilt frame with some damages.
