Condition

The canvases have fairly recent relinings. The paint surfaces are generally secure. Inspection under UV light reveals scattered retouchings and strengthenings. Offered in later black and gold wooden frames in reasonable condition.

The artist is often identified by the Italian name Maestro della fertilità dell'uovo and was a follower of the Brescian painter Faustino Bocchi (1659-1742).
