Condition

The painting is darker richer and less contrasted in tone than the catalogue illustration. The canvas has been relined. The paint surface, which has been cleaned and varnished quite recently, is in fairly good conditionalthgouh ratehr abraded in the sky. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals old discoloured retouching particularly to the sky. Offered ina painted wood frame in good condition.
