- an italianate landscape with shepherds resting with their flock by a stream

Condition
The canvas has been relined. The paint surface is secure. There are some areas of abrasion, for example in the sky. The varnish has yellowed somewhat. Inspection under UV light reveals some scattered retouchings and some minor areas of restoration. Offered in a wood and plaster frame which has suffered some minor knocks but is structurally sound.
