Condition

Illustration is accurate. This attractive set of six seats is in overall good condition. It has been completely regilt quite recently, so the gilding is in fine condition despite minor chips and some wear, particularly on top of the armrests. Stable and comfortable structure. Some seat rails with patched restorations. All seats with later blocks. The fine damask material in a really good condition.

Ce mobilier présente certaines similitudes avec un un ensemble de sièges comprenant un canapé et huit fauteuils estampillés N. Blanchard, vendu chez Christie's à Monaco le 17 juin 2000, lot 409. Les Blanchard formaient une dynastie de menuisiers actifs au XVIIIe siècle à Paris ; de l'ate🌜lier, situé rue Cléry, sortait encore à la veille de la Révolution une production destinée à Mesdames et à leur neveu le comte d'Artois.
